Tony Romo to have tests on ankle

Tony Romo's post-game media session was delayed because he was having his right ankle examined. Romo suffered the injury in the third quarter but did not miss any snaps. "It'll be fine," Romo said after the game. He is scheduled for more tests Monday.  Source: dallasnews.com

Romo appears to be a thumbs up for Saturday

Quarterback Tony Romo went through Thursday's practice and made an assortment of passes and appears ready for Saturday's game at Carolina. "He thought things were progressing well," Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said. "He said he is feeling better and better. He is real positive. We're still going to be protective of it. Romo expected to play Saturday

Quarterback Tony Romo (bruised right thumb) didn't throw any serious passes, though he took some snaps out of the shotgun during a walkthrough Tuesday. Romo walked past reporters with his right hand wrapped in ice and the wires of a stimulation unit visible. Stimulation units help with swelling and range of motion. "He said he felt better," coach Wade Phillips said. "It's just a bruise. He did have some swelling, but I think that's gone down. Romo's right thumb is a bruise and not a sprain

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones emphasized outside the stadium tonight that the injury to Tono Romo's right thumb is a bruise and not a sprain. And the franchise's leader said he's pretty ecstatic that it's not more serious than that. "Were counting our blessings, one of them is that Romo wont be having future health problems," Jones said. "That would be a bad day." Meanwhile, Romo didn't feel much like going into his injury, simply saying "It's fine.  Source: dallasnews.com
