Saints General Manager Mickey Loomis announced Thursday that four projected starters - safety Darren Sharper, wide receivers Marques Colston and Robert Meachem and linebacker Clint Ingram - will start training camp on the active-physically unable to perform list. Marques Colston finally healthy for Saints

Marques Colston figures he's as healthy right now as he's ever been at this time of year since joining the Saints. "I feel great," he said. "It's probably the first offseason that I've gone away (from organized team activities) feeling 100 percent." Colston looks to be in vintage form

Reggie Bush and Marques Colston fully participated in the final minicamp practice Sunday morning - a good sign that both players remain on track to be full-go for the start of training camp on July 30. Saints Coach Sean Payton said after practice that he think there's "no question" that both players will be 100 percent by then. Colston looked to be in vintage form on several plays, by the way, catching everything thrown his way as if his hands were made of Velcro.  Source: nola.com

Saints WR Colston absent from OTA

Wide receiver Marques Colston, who has outperformed his original rookie contract and whose agent has been in discussions with the Saints on a new deal, missed Monday's voluntary OTA practice. Colston has been a regular participant in the Saints offseason conditioning program, which began in mid-March, and was at the mandatory minicamp and at the rest of the organized team activity practices.  Source: nola.com

Update: Marques Colston is out with a chest contusion. More bad news for the Saints: leading receiver Marques Colston was taken to the locker room with an undisclosed injury late in the first half and did not return to the sideline for the start of the second half. The Saints are playing with four healthy receivers: David Patten, Terrance Copper, Devery Henderson and Lance Moore.  Source: nola.com

Marques Colston dealing with sore back

Wide receiver Marques Colston sat out Friday's Saints practice with a sore back. Colston, who has missed practice time this year with a back problem but has played every game, said he woke up Friday with back issues. "It's something that has been nagging me all year," Colston said. "Pretty much I slept in a crazy position (Thursday) night, and I got up and it didn't feel good at all. It's nothing major. I'll just work the kinks out." Colston is "probable".  Source: nola.com

Transcript of Sean Payton's Friday press conference: "Just two things for the injury report: Marques Colston was limited in his reps today. Midway through, I sent him in to get some treatment on his back. He's probable. Jason David was limited in his reps today; he's doubtful. That's it with the injuries."  Source: nola.com
