QB Carson Palmer not distracted by thumb 10/15/2009 9:05:00 AM
Carson Palmer wore a glove during Wednesday's practice but fully participated in all sessions despite a sprained left thumb. The quarterback injured the thumb during the second half of last Sunday's 17-14 win over Baltimore. The only thing it does affect is his ability to hand off the ball, which means he will try to use his right hand. "It's not strange. I broke my collarbone in college one time and needed to do that for a couple of games," Palmer said. "I've done it before and it's one of those things you do on the fly. Cedric (Benson) did a great job on ball security."

Bengals QB Carson Palmer still not ready 8/31/2009 8:35:00 AM
The good news was that Bengals QB Carson Palmer donned a jersey for Sunday's practice. The bad news - he was still on a side field while the rest of the team went through drills. Palmer appeared to be running better and did a lot more on-field work during the two-hour practice. He also did some dropping back, if only at half speed which leaves his status for Thursday's game against Indianapolis the same - questionable.

Palmer works to improve arm strength 6/26/2009 11:30:00 AM
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer looked good at minicamp last week, but admits that his arm strength needs some work. The quarterback's plan to strength the arm is no ancient Chinese secret. In fact, the solution to the problem is a fairly easy fix. "Throw," Palmer said. "It's just like when a track guy needs to get faster. You don't do 5,000 squats, you run and run some more. To get your arm in shape you throw and continue to throw.
