McNabb likely won't play until season opener

Donovan McNabb probably won't play again until the Redskins' regular season opener against Dallas because of his sprained ankle. In the meantime, he and the rest of the offense will try to find a rhythm in practice.

Donovan McNabb dealing with ankle injury

McNabb was wearing a boot on his left foot in the morning, then wore what appeared to be an air cast on his left ankle during Monday's afternoon practice.
"I really didn't know how bad it was," Shanahan said. "I still don't really know how bad it is. He's getting treatment. We'll just kind of figure it out day-by-day."

The Eagles have confirmed the trade of Donovan McNabb to the Redskins for a second-round pick this year, No. 37 overall, and a conditional third- or fourth-round pick next year.

McNabb will wear flak jacket again Eagles QB Donovan McNabb said he "absolutely" will again wear a flak jacket to protect his ribs this week (Philly.com). Considering how the Raiders defend the Run the Eagles are more likely to use heavier doses of Westy and McCoy.
