Quarterback Matt Ryan, who has been battling a toe injury, and workhorse running back Michael Turner are active and will play. Ryan will start. Turner, who has missed three of the past four games, was limited all week in practice with an ankle injury. But he tested his ankle in pre-game warmups and appears ready to go.   Source: nj.com

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, who is battling a turf toe injury, will not play today against the New Orleans Saints. Chris Redman, a seven year veteran, will make his 12th career start at quarterback for the Falcons. Michael Turner (ankle sprain) has also been ruled out.

Falcons QB Ryan out Sunday vs. Eagles

The Atlanta Falcons will not have starting quarterback Matt Ryan vs. the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. Ryan has been diagnosed with ligament damage, also known as "turf toe", and is flying to North Carolina to meet with renowned foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson. Matt Ryan having great sophomore season

Falcons QB Matt Ryan is off to a great sophomore season. He's completed 82 of 123 passes (66.7 percent) for 977 yards, seven touchdowns, two interceptions and a quarterback rating of 102.9. He seems to be seeing all of the field as he's connected with 10 different receivers. Six of them are averaging over 10 yards per catch. Ryan wanted to improve his completion percentage and decision making this season. He had a 61.1 percent completion rate as a rookie with 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions.  Source: ajc.com
