Broncos (sorta) get Knowshon Moreno back
9/1/2009 12:31:00 PM

First-round draft pick Knowshon Moreno is back on the field with the team for the first time since spraining his MCL Aug. 14 in San Francisco. Moreno is wearing an orange “non-contact” jersey, meaning he will probably be held out of much of the team work later in the session, but he will be able to participate in individual and position drills and will be getting what coaches call the “mental reps.”  Source: denverpost.com

Knowshon Moreno's injury status looking better
8/15/2009 11:36:00 AM

A league source tells us that an MRI on the knee of rookie running back Knowshon Moreno revealed only a sprained MCL. We're not presently sure of the grade of the sprain. If it's Grade I, he'll be day-to-day. If it's Grade II, he could miss the rest of the preseason, and his availability for Week One could be in question.  Source: profootballtalk.nbcsports.com

8/8/2009 9:08:00 AM

The next time Moreno pumps iron, it likely will be from inside the Broncos' state-of-the-art, 9,000-square-foot conditioning center. So long, Georgia Bulldogs. Moreno can set his fast, elusive feet inside Broncos headquarters again after he and the team reached an agreement on a five-year, $23 million contract that includes a guarantee of nearly $13 million.  Source: denverpost.com

Broncos, Knowshon Moreno far apart
7/31/2009 7:22:00 AM

The Broncos will open training camp today without their No. 1 draft pick, Knowshon Moreno. The team and its rookie running back are so far apart in contract negotiations, Moreno will wake up today in his college home state of Georgia. Moreno Broncos deal appears far from imminent
7/27/2009 8:02:00 AM

The Broncos and Knowshon Moreno were so far away from an agreement Sunday afternoon, one NFL source said there was "no way" the rookie running back from Georgia would show up today for the unofficial start of training camp. The Broncos made Moreno the first running back taken in the 2009 NFL draft when they selected him with the No. 12 overall choice. He is expected to eventually receive a five- or six-year deal with a guarantee of more than $12 million, so negotiations are not without complications.  Source: denverpost.com

Knowshon Moreno slightly behing the eight ball, for now
6/6/2009 7:42:00 PM

Moreno has been getting some repetitions with the first-team offense, but he still finds himself behind veterans Correll Buckhalter and LaMont Jordan. Still, it is what Moreno said he expected for this time of year. "I'm just learning," Moreno said. "They've been in the league eight or nine years. Coming behind them and learning from them and maybe one day making my way up there is awesome."  Source: denverpost.com
